Growing

What's the point?

An RSS Feed is an old, simple work of technology. Mostly used for bloggers and news feeds, it can also deliver a fairly wide range of information and material automatically, given it is set up properly.

For us, we use RSS Feeds to automatically feed Soundcloud uploads to our servers and keep track of when people upload new material, like our promo clients for example.

Tested with great results!

If you are a member of our Discord fam, have you ever noticed that some of our server member’s music just pops up within a few hours of a new upload? Ever wondered how it happens? RSS Feeds…

We have been testing out RSS bots for a few months now and have found 2 that have worked really well for us. Most recently, one of the 2 has proven very reliable and we have now begun migrating everything to this second bot.

Wanna play too?

How do you set up your RSS? Simple, go into your Soundcloud settings by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner. On the resulting page, click “Content” and everything is right there. Once you have entered all of your information, make sure to click “Include In Rss Feed” at the bottom of the window under “upload defaults” and this will make sure all of the settings go to any new uploads as well. If you go into your old uploads you can click the include in RSS feed button by clicking edit on each track and going to the permissions tab. Done.

Where Do I Put My RSS Link Once I Set It Up? You can Log your link here https://discord.gg/XC5huyd

We check here once in a while if there are notifications of new posts. If so, and if you are an active member, we will add your RSS to the BOT’s log along with the others. Q will also add it to his RSS extension in Chrome so he is notified about your new uploads multiple ways.

If you are a promo client, it is highly recommended that you participate here, as well as any of you who are struggling to get plays…. Much Love!
